Hi!
My name is Cristina Scheau , a graduating student in Computer Science at
“Politehnica” University from Bucharest. I worked 6 months on .NET
framework at
http://bsgroup.ro/ , coding in
VB.NET (most part) , and in C#
some features. I also worked 6 months at
http://www.amamobile.com/ as
JAVA Programmer. Last summer I was intern at
http://www.crestatech.com in
Santa Clara, CA, where I developed an application using C and VC++. I’ve
also worked at some personal projects using JavaScript, AJAX,
HTML,PHP,antlr.
I am interested in more Xwiki projects but especially in Xwiki integration
with Open Office. I have some questions regarding this topic.
Great :-)

Both XWord and XOO should not have specific code on the server. These
Office extensions should use the REST or XML-RPC API, from which we call
functionalities provided by redenderer, syntax converted, html cleaner,
etc. XWord is switching to XML-RPC and hopefully will drop the server
package after version 1.0 M2. The server functionalities needed for the
XOO plugin are already in the platform, what we need to do now is
enriching the API with the new features.
2. The
project includes also the Xwiki integration with Open Office
spreadsheet and presentation or just with OO Writer?
I think that given the considered timeframe, the project would only
encompass XWiki integration with OOWriter.

Unfortunately I don't think I'll have the time to put some UI
improvements in Milestone 2.
When you find a bug and it already has a jira issue assigned to it, you
can always vote for it, so that it will be fixed faster. This can help
us setting our priorities.
Thanks for your interest,
Florin Ciubotaru
Thanks in advance,
