I'm fearing, as anything syntax 1.0 that fixing that is going to be quite delicate.
Syntax 1.0 has been deprecated a few years ago and indeed nobody is really spending time
on it.
You should really have migrated to Syntax 2.0 already. If you haven't, you're late
and the more you wait the more it'll cost you in the end.
