Hi devs,
Since last week was light on development (due to various holidays) and
today we are already past the release date for 4.3M2, after talking with
Vincent, we propose to postpone the 4.3 releases by a couple of days, as
follows:
The main reason are:
* the solr code was merged just this morning and we need some time to test it
* Marius is still finishing code for AWM
* The localization module has been committed not long ago too
* a lot of functional tests are failing ATM
* there's new errors that happen in the store:

I was able to verify yesterday that there were race conditions causing
these exceptions: XWIKI-8415, XWIKI-8416. Note that this particular
exception in DefaultWikiComponentBuilderEventListener should not have
affected the results of the tests in any way, as the exception was both
expected and harmless if the application started event was received twice.
FTR (I already discussed with Andreas on IRC about it) there are now some warnings
appearing in the console when you start XE:
2012-11-07 16:50:05,571 [
http://localhost:8080/xwiki/bin/view/Main/] WARN
o.h.t.TypeFactory - Scoping types to session factory
org.hibernate.impl.SessionFactoryImpl@45ae90c9 after already scoped
org.hibernate.impl.SessionFactoryImpl@47a39fdc
2012-11-07 16:50:36,674 [Lucene Index Updater] WARN o.h.t.TypeFactory -
Scoping types to session factory org.hibernate.impl.SessionFactoryImpl@47a39fdc after
already scoped org.hibernate.impl.SessionFactoryImpl@427e0877
IMO we need to understand what's happening and remove them. Ideally before Friday so
that we don't have them in 4.3M2. At worse, before 4.2 final.
Thanks

* Andreas
would like to merge some security work he's been working on but I don't know if
the new dates proposed below are enough to merge this now or not. I have been away for 10
days and haven't caught up yet so I cannot make a good judgement on whether we should
wait for 4.4M1 for this work to be merged in or not. The safe part in me says we should
but I don't have any other argument… If you've been following the work please
contribute to this thread!
Let me get back to you regarding the status of this.
