I like the idea ;-)
They should be able to add a message.
There should be a template message which tells what the invitation is
about.
They should be taken to the registration application
(their email address can be filled in as long as <> " ' \ characters are
escaped to prevent XSS)
There should be a mechanism to store the ip addresses/user names of those
who
send the email and a link in the email to report spam so the service is not
abused.
I would like to make it an application if possible.
Yep, that sounds good to me. One thing to maybe keep in mind would be to let
the wiki admin decide whether any user can invite another or whether the
invitation right should be restricted to admins / editors.
Your thoughts?
There are 2 basic use cases I can see:
- An "invite" panel that basically lets any wiki user invite someone else
to the wiki
- An "invite" section in the administration that lets an admin invite a
lot of people at once (in an organization for instance)
Both use cases (single invite and mailing-list invite) were covered by the
invitation manager plugin so it might be worth a look.
Guillaule
Caleb
