I have it out by myself. Editor panels seem to be skin related and even not
featured by all skins.
I could get my custom editor panel to work with toucan by editing
skins/toucan/editpanelsvars.vm.
I hope this will help someone with the same problem in the future, otherwise
sorry for the noise on the list.
