  Hi,
 We're a bit late on the planning/roadmap so here's a first try.
 * 1.6M1: 18 Aug
 * 1.6M2: 8 Sep
 * 1.6RC1: 15 sep
 * 1.6RC2 or 1.6 final: 22 sep
 OK, but IMHO it would be better to shift everything by a week, to give
 enough time to integrate the experimental stuff.
This is happening de facto for 1.6M1 since Jean-Vincent is still on
holiday (for some personal problem). We don't know when he'll be back
but probably around end of the week.
I'm not sure we should shift the other dates though.
   Tentative
Roadmap for XE 1.6:
 Must have:
 ========
 * Beta versions of new rendering + new WYSIWYG editor (Vincent &
 Marius)
 * One of the following two:
 ** Revamped Blog UI + features (who?)
 Marta and I already started to work on this a bit. I think it should
 be a group effort, with input from Laurent, from the marketing team,
 some client input, user feedback... Especially users who are
 intensively blogging. Hopefully it will be usable by M2.

Then maybe you should start some design doc on
dev.xwiki.org.
   ** Easy
creating of structured pages (JV)
 * Security issues already in JIRA (marked as high priority)
 + bug fixes or course
 Good to have
 ==========
 * Office import maybe but I think that should be optional depending
 on
 how fast it progresses. It could be released as a separate plugin for
 sure.
 * Single sign on w/ openID
 * French XE
 * Send forgotten password
 We're almost done with this one too, it could even make it into M1 if
 it is delayed a bit.
  * Improved RSS feeds
 * Excel plugin
 * Installation wizard
 I lost what I had with my old HDD, but I'll start working on it again.
 Maybe a first version will be in M2.
  * Skin extension/Interface extension finalization
 I'll finish the Skin extensions, but the Interface extensions are a
 bit more complex, as they should be tightly integrated with the new
 rendering mechanism. When would that be stable enough to start
 building on it?

I think it's already stable enough and it would be good to start ASAP
so that we can find out if some changes are required in the rendering
API or not.
   * CSS +
templates cleanup/simplification
 * Invitation manager in XE
 * We could introduce the REST API if the project is clean enough to be
 included in M2.

Who's working on that already and what's the status?
Thanks
