Hi Dear,
After a full day of brain storming, I finally submitted my proposal for
Calendar application.
Please have a look on my proposal and let me know how can I improve it.
I gave a look at your proposal. It looks interesting though it would benefit
from a better knowledge of XWiki's data model. Additionally, we're now
bundling some SmartGWT libraries with our distribution. SmartGWT has a great
calendar widget (you can see it here :
http://www.smartclient.com/smartgwt/showcase/#simple_calendar_category )
It would be great if you could update your proposal with specifics of how
you would use the SmartGWT widget (integrating it in XWiki, retrieving data
through XWiki's REST API, storing calendar events in XObjects, etc...).
Basically if you could show that you have an idea of how XWiki works and
what needs to be done from a technical point of view to make your idea real.
You can check recent GSoC-related mailing list emails to find a list of
resources about XWiki (guides, tutorials) that are worth checking out to
understand how XWiki works.
Hopes this helps,
Guillaume
Thanks for your consideration.
regards,
