Hi devs,
Just a quick mail to let you know I've started using the Maven Copy plugin
(
http://evgeny-goldin.com/wiki/Copy-maven-plugin).
ATM it's used only in the generic installer module:
https://github.com/xwiki/xwiki-enterprise/blob/master/xwiki-enterprise-inst…
It's very nice.
At some point we'll need to decide if we wish to use it more throughout our build. It
completely replaces the Assembly plugin, the Dependency plugin and the Remote Resources
one.
Officially or is this a concuurrent ?
It's not developed by the Maven dev team.
It's developed by Evgeny who has several nice plugins (I've started using his
jenkins plugin to automatically generate jenkins jobs fwiw).
Ok, just wondering if we can count on it to follow Maven versions etc.
Yep that's the main issue. It's done by one person so we can't get any
guarantee about that. So it's probably a good idea to restrict its usage only to
places where we need it for the time being.
Thanks
