Hi I've just finished to install a xwiki enterprise 3.0 with postgresql My main site works : http://server:8080/xwiki/bin/view/Main/ However, I have this message in the main site Unknow macro : spaces, Unknow macro : activity, Unknow macro : tags. I can crate spaces, but i can not see or edith them. I assume because the space macro does not work. thanks for your help.

HI, I use XWiki with AD LDAP, but it works very-very slow with it. Without LDAP all works perfectly fast. How to imporve speed with LDAP? Donnie.

[xwiki-users] tooltip setting in class editor

Hi in version 2.7 there seems no longer a tooltip per attribute. I can remember in older version (1.7?) there was such a setting per attribute. What is the best practise to configure internationalized tooltips for forms created with the class editor in relation with the forms generator? Gerritjan

[xwiki-users] OutOfMemoryError

Hello again, this time I am having a hard time with java. I do get the following error a lot: - Exception while dispatching incoming RPC call #012java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: PermGen space And there isn't anybody on the wiki yet. It's just me changing texts. No uploads or something similar. Here are my arguments which Tomcat 5.5 pass to the virtual machine JAVA_OPTS="-Djava.awt.headless=true -Xms1024M -Xmx3424M" In my opinion this should be more then enough memory or am I mistaken? Do I miss something else? I am really lost here.... Cheers, Stephanie

[xwiki-users] Dynamically building tables (part 2)

I'm trying to create tables in xwiki, having the row contents defined through INCLUDE macros (so that I can construct the table dynamically). * I've gone through the documentation - but cannot find the info I need, OR * I'm just not clever enough to understand it. :( Any help getting me started would be appreciated. I first tried this first using HTML macro tags - which didn't work well. Other documentation pointed me to scripting through velocity - which seemed promising as it also had the advantage of letting me embed more logic. Current version I'm trying is: {{velocity}} <table border="1" width="90%"> <tr> <th>Field name</th> <th>Definition</th> </tr> {{include document="Metadata.row_def_x"/}} {{include document="Metadata.row_def_y"/}} {{include document="Metadata.row_def_z"/}} </table> {{/velocity}} Each row definition macro consists solely of the HTML table row definition: For example: <tr> <td width="20%">Copper</td> <td>A shiny red-pink metal.</td> </tr> This now lets me correctly generate the HTML table code, BUT problem is that viewing the generated wiki page just shows the HTML code - not the table I wanted to see. I've tried other variations using {{html}} then embedding include macros within that, and (alternatively) trying to build tables directly in XWiki's own table code ... but those attempts didn't work either. |=Metric Name|=Definition {{include document="Metadata.row_def_x"/}} {{include document="Metadata.row_def_y"/}} {{include document="Metadata.row_def_z"/}} Where row definition macro was in format: |Copper | A shiny red-pink metal. Having a hard time with restoring my XWiki instance from an old Linux server that died into a new one. I have database backup, that is all. Wondering how I installed it first time around… nothing is working. What is the best place to ask for help?

[xwiki-users] Hide Registration Link

I am putting up a new xwiki using XWiki Enterprise 3.0-rc-1.35909, I cannot seem to find the configuration setting to remove the REGISTRATION link from the landing page when users are not logged in. I do not want the general population to be able to register. I have edited the rights on the XWiki.Registration page and denied the All Group and only allow edit by the Admin Group. But still the link appears, I have also tried changing the global.vm and comment out the following: ## #if($isGuest && $xwiki.hasAccessLevel("register", "XWiki.XWikiPreferences")) ## #set($regurl = $xwiki.getURL("XWiki.Register", "register")) ## <a class="glink" href="$!regurl" id="headerregister">$!msg.get("core.register")</a>#sep() ## #end but again it still appears even after bouncing tomcat. Any help is appreciated, thanks, Bob

[xwiki-users] Belletin Board Application - Email users

I'd like to add the functionality of emailing users who post to a thread that a new post has been created. I have no idea of the level of complexity of this is, but I would greatly appreciate it if someone could at least point me to where I would need to add the code. I've looked at BBCode.TopicClassSheet, which has the form for submitting a new post, but I get stumped from there. The action for the form is $doc.getURL("ojbectadd") which returns a value of "/xwiki/bin/objectadd/BBCode/TopicClassSheet". I'm just not sure how to get to the "objectadd" so it can be edited. Any help is much appreciated. Lenny

In order to redirect the request we use the following configuration: <VirtualHost *:80> ServerName www.my-domain.de ServerAlias my-domain.de Redirect permanent / https://www.my-domain.de/ </VirtualHost> <VirtualHost *:443> ServerName www.my-domain.de SSLEngine On SSLProxyEngine On SSLCertificateFile /etc/apache2/ssl/my-domain.crt SSLCertificateKeyFile /etc/apache2/ssl/my-domain.key <Proxy *> Order allow,deny Allow from all </Proxy> Redirect / /xwikiv2/ ProxyPass /xwikiv2 http://localhost:8080/xwikiv2 ProxyPassReverse /xwikiv2 http://localhost:8080/xwikiv2 ProxyPreserveHost On </VirtualHost> So all communication should be encrypted and the user should immediately be redirected to the wiki. With these settings we encounter a strange behaviour. For example the Blog refuses to create a new category (see: [xwiki-users] Server not responding when creating a new Blog-Category). If I point my browser directly to my-domain.de:8080 I can create categories. Is the config file correct? Is there a better way? Cheers, Stephanie
