I have the openoffice server configured to import from word docs and it does
quite well. However a direct copy/past from word still loses the images
while keeping much of the formatting. This is just how it is, correct? To
preserve Word formatting and embedded images, the import process must be
used? Or is there a workaround? It's not a show stopper just want to know if
I'm missing anything. Possibly a later version of Word would work better,
I've tried using 2003 and 2010.

Howdy again,
I just upgraded to 8.4.4 via the Ubuntu packages, and the Navigation Panel has no content whatsoever! It’s blank except for the title. Is there a quick or obvious fix for this?
Thanks,
Craig
Hi All,
I am exporting old xwiki workspace to new version 8.2.1 xwiki instance. While import I need to select form available pages in .XAR file. I went through the xwiki documents which says that we should only import the content written by user.
Can anyone help me to know the way I can differentiate the contents? If I import any content created by main xwiki instance then this information may override on newer version same content.
Thanks & Regards
Piyush
Hi All,
I exported older xwiki contents and imported them back into newer xwiki 8.2.1.
I can see that few pages are breaking asking below issue:
org.xwiki.rendering.macro.MacroExecutionException: The execution of the [velocity] script macro is not allowed. Check the rights of its last author or the parameters if it's rendered from another script.
at org.xwiki.rendering.macro.script.AbstractScriptMacro.execute(AbstractScriptMacro.java:178)
at org.xwiki.rendering.macro.script.AbstractScriptMacro.execute(AbstractScriptMacro.java:58)
Can anyone tell me that how to enable rights for macro?
Thanks & Regards,
Piyush

Hi, I have changed the font using LESS-CODE. I want to know maybe this
LESS-Code is under renovation or what because, I have change the font (small
the font for heading 2), Under this preview, when i select the doc, the font
is changed. But in main xwiki, i mean main page. no changes for this font
for heading 2.
I have try and error so many times, cut and paste again the code but still
the same(the font is not changed). You can see the picture below:
<http://xwiki.475771.n2.nabble.com/file/n7602322/heading2.png> As you see
here, the font for heading 2 which is 1.1 System Developing is changed.

(the font for heading 2 is not change)

In developing an in house app using XWiki I am having difficulty getting a page to display with more than one object.
Currently using XWiki Enterprise 7.4.4.
For testing purposes I have 2 classes: SetupHY32 and SetupUniqueValues.
I create a new page located in Sandbox called ObjGroupTest.
Selecting Object Editor I add the 2 classes and fill in data in each property for each class.
When I save and view, only the first object is displayed. When I go back to edit the objects, all the data is there.
The fully qualified name for each object is Sandbox.SetupHY32.Code.SetupHY32Class (1) and Sandbox.SetupUniqueValues.Code.SetupUniqueValuesClass (1).
According to XWiki data model page each page can have multiple objects.
So the ultimate question is, how can more than one object be displayed on a page?
Thanks,
Steve
Hi All,
In our existing Xwiki application for each Xwiki a workspace is getting created. WE are now migrating to the new version 8.2.1 and wanted to export whole workspace of a created xwiki and reimport it to newer version.
While import it displays below directories to select files to import:
AnnotationCode
AppWithinMinutes
Bolg
ColorThemes
Dashboard
Extensions
Faq
Invitation
Main
News
Panels
Sandbox
Scheduler
Stats
Xwiki
I am selecting all the directory and importing it but the pages are not coming proper.
Please suggest if in above directories I should unselect some of them which may override on the newer xwiki 8.2.1 instance.
Please suggest if some other reason could be the problem.
Thanks & Regards,
Piyush
Hello, fellow XWiki community members,
Since XWiki will be participating at this year's FOSDEM (www.fosdem.org)
open source meeting in Brussels and since we never did spend some time to
think about XWiki sticker that would help promote our community, we invite
everybody to chip in with *ideas on how XWiki stickers should look like*.
We would like to focus on *thumb-sized* (vertical/badge; horizontal with
text) stickers in a couple of formats:
1) X logo + "xwiki.org" under (standard XWiki sticker)
2) Horizontal message/quote + "xwiki.org" under it (get creative on the
messages)
3) FOSDEM or other open source event flavored sticker (we have one idea,
others are welcomed)
4) Anything text/graphic XWiki-related (or about open source, wikis, etc.),
within the size restrictions, for the more talented/creative ones out there
:)
Other inspiration and resources:

Please use this wiki page to share your ideas or designs (or even reply to
this mail, but the wiki page would be nicer :) ):
http://design.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/Proposal/XWikiStickers
The deadline is *end of Wednesday, 11th January, 2016*. You can continue
contributing after this date as well, since ideas are always welcomed, but
they will probably be printed for future events.
It`s a short notice, but FOSDEM is close and we can do more brainstorming
rounds in the future as well.
XWiki SAS is going to handle the printing of the logos around the end of
this week or next week.
We will come back with the results and you can come to FOSDEM at XWiki's
booth to talk to us and grab some stickers to enjoy and share yourself ;)
The plan is to eventually create a stickers page on xwiki.org where
everybody can download and print XWiki stickers themselves. It should
include both generally approved XWiki stickers but also community made ones.
Looking forward to your ideas,
Thanks,
Eduard
