Hello :)
I wanna see the code for let's say HTMLMacro from xwiki 2.0, because i wanna
see how you added a checkbox in the macro parameters. i know there are 2
files in the "templates" files: macros.vm and macros.txt, but i donlt find
what i want
And another question: can a page have more than one macro added? i mean...i
edit a page, add some macro classes . then i shoudl be able to use these
macros in every page in the space, right? and be able to see the macros(in
the macro list)..cause somethimes i do, and other times i don't, so i must
be doing something stupid. :D
Thank you

Hello friends,
We are converting our xwiki to an xwiki farm. I have followed all the
necessary instructions for converting XE to XEM as stated in the XEM space
at
http://manager.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/AdminGuide/Installation#HConvertanex
istingXWikiEnterpriseinstance
I was able to create a xwiki farm successfully on test machine. However,
when I tried following the same steps & creating xwiki farm on production
server, I can no longer access the main wiki (original XE instance which is
being converted to XEM). The moment I set the xwiki.virtual=1 property,
XWiki becomes inaccessible & keeps routing me to the "redirect on error" URL
defined in xwiki.cfg file. On both the test machine & production server, the
XWiki is 2.1 & JDK/JRE is 1.6 with tomcat 6.0.14 & mysql 5.0.45. The only
difference being the data content inside each wiki instances (the test
machine is almost a new wiki whereas the production one has a lot of data) &
the OS (test machine is Windows XP whereas production is Windows Server
2003). I have downgraded the JDK to 1.5 & still the production XWiki just
becomes inaccessible when converting into an XEM.
I was hoping someone could guide me as to what could I check (logs, some
settings) to identify why the production XWiki refuses to start when
xwiki.virtual is set to 1. I have tried really hard for the past couple of
days to figure out what is different but reached nowhere. If someone has
faced this issue before, could you please guide me. Thank you for your time
friends.

Dilipkumar Jadhav
Just wondering if anyone has had character input delay using IE7/8 in the
WYSIWYG editor. I don't have that problem on the same computer using firefox
or Chrome. I'm guessing its the JS engine but just wondering if there is a
fix or workaround.

Hi all!
Sorry if this question has already been reviewed, but I've been
searching the users mail and found nothing.
I've been working on the Galician translation of the Xwiki Core for
a few weeks and today I have found that each and every English string
has a "previous text" added to it. Can anybody help me find out what
this means and wether it has any influence on the translations?
Thank you very much for your help!

Hello!
Please help me for a xwiki syntax. I need to include in document child pages
of this document, but not all level-childs, only directly-connected to my
document child pages.
For finding attachments of a child pages, I already learned. I should use:
#foreach($attDoc in $xwiki.wrapDocs($xwiki.searchDocuments(",
XWikiAttachment att where att.docId =
doc.id and doc.web='${doc.space}'")))
#foreach($att in $attDoc.getAttachmentList())
* $attDoc.getAttachmentURL($att.filename)
${att.filename}(${attDoc.displayTitle})
#end
#end
but I need also to find child pages.
Thanks beforehand!

I all,
I've installed xwiki 2.1 right now ... I need some time to become familiar with the new menu structure and the new menu line right above the pages.
However I recognized, that spaces having its own title, different from the code, are shown with a small stripe at the top - that's boring (a bit).
Kind regards
mb

Hi.
I am test driving XWiki Enterprise for my group at work. Kudos and
thanks to the developers for putting together this fabulous app.
I
am having trouble with MSOffice-2007 documents attached to pages in the
wiki. The content-type header delivered by the server when accessing
such documents (with extensions .pptx, .docx or .xlsx for example) is
"application/octet-stream". While modern browsers such as Firefox offer
to open the document in the appropriate app (looking at the filename in
the content-disposition header I guess), IE6 unfortunately treats it as
binary data and offers to open it with WinZip.
I have read through a couple of threads in the xwiki-dev and xwiki-users mailing list archive, but following those directions did not resolve my issue.
So how can I fix
this issue? I have tried adding mime-mapping in
<install-root>/domain/domain1/config/default-web.xml as well as
in
<install-root>/domain/domain1/applications/j2ee-modules/xwiki-enterprise-web-2.1-milestone-1/WEB-INF/web.xml
like following -- but that has had no effect.
<mime-mapping>
<extension>docx</extension>
<mime-type>application/vnd.openxmlformats</mime-type>
</mime-mapping>
<mime-mapping>
<extension>pptx</extension>
<mime-type>application/vnd.openxmlformats</mime-type>
</mime-mapping>
<mime-mapping>
<extension>xlsx</extension>
<mime-type>application/vnd.openxmlformats</mime-type>
</mime-mapping>
The content-type header still comes as application/octet-stream as shown below:
bash> lynx http://<myhost>/xwiki/bin/download/Sandbox/TestPage2/simple.xlsx -head -dump
HTTP/1.1 200 OK
Server: Sun Java System Application Server 9.1_01
Set-Cookie: JSESSIONID=1556df25ad03500b4592d778a5e1; Path=/xwiki
Content-disposition: inline; filename="simple.xlsx"
Last-Modified: Wed, 02 Dec 2009 17:37:17 GMT
Set-Cookie: visitid=NMUOTURHA9P7GS5BM35MKJLN5WQSPYDL; Path=/
Content-Type: application/octet-stream;charset=ISO-8859-1
Content-Language: en
I
have verified by introducing syntax errors and by other techniques that
the web.xml file is being read by the server when I perform a restart,
but the mime-mapping additions seem to have no effect.
Any help will be deeply appreciated.
Thanks,
Milind
Hello,
I really like the idea of database lists as it gives me the ability to
relate pages (objects) together without much effort.
However, I have found it very difficult to use these lists easily as it
requires an understanding of not only HQL (which isn't hard) and of the
Hibernate-mapped schema, which to my knowledge is not available. Is this
hibernate-mapped API / Schema (java objects) published somewhere?
It has also occurred to me that an even easier option would be to use
XWQL in the DatabaseList query specification. Is this possible somehow?
Regards,
Nigel

Hello all,
One request from our users is to set a dynamic text in the title bar, on the right of the logo. Something like a text related to the current browsed space for example. May be possible by reading a dedicated string object defined in the webhome page else it will be set to an empty string.
Is it possible to do that ?
Thank you

I need to hide all stuff at the print preview form, exept page contents.
Logo, title, and all of them ... How I can do that? As I understand, I need
to edit print.css file in folder of my skin (colibri for example). At this
file exists section with comment /* Hide unneeded stuff */, but I cannot
underdstand what I should add for hidding all? I already hide all objects
below main page content, but for objects above - I cannot do that. What I
should to add in this section in print.css for my situation?

Hi xwiki-users,
I'm trying to bootstrap a component from the wiki itself (via Groovy). I
have an interface defined as follows:

def ROLE = UserDAO.class.name
/**

I also have a dummy implementation defined as follows:
// This is the text inside the User.UserXWQLDAO document
{{include document="User.UserDAO" /}}
{{groovy}}
import org.xwiki.component.annotation.Component
import org.xwiki.component.annotation.Requirement
import org.xwiki.component.descriptor.DefaultComponentDescriptor
import org.xwiki.query.Query
import org.xwiki.query.QueryManager
import com.xpn.xwiki.web.Utils
@Component(roles = [ UserDAO.class ])
class UserXWQLDAO implements UserDAO
{
@Requirement
def QueryManager queryManager
/**
* Returns the current user name.
*/
def getUserName() {
return "bleh"
}
/**
* Returns the current user's password
*/
def getPassword() {
return "bleh"
}
}
if(!Utils.componentManager.hasComponent(UserDAO.class))
{
def componentDescriptor = new DefaultComponentDescriptor()
componentDescriptor.setImplementation(UserDAO.class)
Utils.componentManager.registerComponent(componentDescriptor, new
UserXWQLDAO())
}
{{/groovy}}
The first problem I ran into was that Groovy 1.6.5 ran into
IncompatibleClassChangeErrors (http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/GROOVY-3830).
Upgrading to 1.6.6 fixed this issue. But, then I ran into a NPE:

Haven't investigated any further than this, but has anyone successfully
created components completely within a wiki document? That would just be so
cool! Great work!

dear admins and xwiki enthusiasts, I say thank you in advance for setting up
the linfocus.myxwiki.org account. we will use this account for first
impression of the system in a collaborative environment. Best, Peter

hi folks,
can anyone point me to a step-by-step example of upgrading a standalone
xwiki?
replacing the contents of ${XWIKI_HOME}/webapps/xwiki/ with
xwiki-enterprise-web-2.1-rc-1.war & copying back the hibernate.cfg.xml
and xwiki.cfg has resulted in:
Problem accessing /xwiki/bin/view/Main/. Reason:
Error number 3 in 0: Could not initialize main XWiki context
Wrapped Exception: Error number 3001 in 3: Cannot load class
com.xpn.xwiki.store.migration.hibernate.XWikiHibernateMigrationManager
from param xwiki.store.migration.manager.class
Wrapped Exception: Error number 0 in 3: Exception while hibernate execute
Wrapped Exception: Could not parse mapping document from resource
xwiki.hbm.xml
i'm upgrading 2.0.3 to 2.1RC1
sorry if this is covered in a FAQ - the upgrade Xwiki Core from
<http://platform.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/AdminGuide/Installation#HUpgrading…>
isn't very explicit
any suggestions?
regards
p
