[xwiki-users] Default Wiki Pages XML Files not Installed

Hello, I setup a Tomcat server with a MySQL database and am trying to setup Xwiki on it. I followed the administrator installation guide and ran into a problem that I can't seem to find the solution to. Everything seemed to work properly until I tried to import the xwiki-enterprise-ui-mainwiki-all-6.4.1.xar. After the import was done, I was shown a list of files that were installed as well as the ones that were not installed. It seemed that none of the xml files were installed. Has anyone ran across this issue before? I can still navigate across the wiki, but, for instance, when I click on the admin's profile or preferences, no text boxes or buttons of any kind appear. It pretty much shows just a blank page. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

[xwiki-users] Black gallery after PowerPoint import

Hi guys, we discovered an issue with XWiki 6.3. After importing a PowerPoint presentation from within the WYSIWYG editor and saving the page the presentation is added to the attachments but the document shows a black gallery with 0/0 slides. In the log files I don't see any errors concerning this. We're on Windows Server 2003 R2, Tomcat 7, JDK 7, Apache 2.4, Libre Office 4.3 Is this a bug I should report a Jira about or is there something you can suggest to me? BR, Dennis

[xwiki-users] Accidently deleted wiki

We were creating a tutorial wiki for our company. During the making of it, we wanted to delete a space by clicking XWiki drop down menu on the home page and clicking delete. Instead of deleting the space the whole wiki got deleted... Is there a way to retrieve the lost content? Regards, Mikhail

[xwiki-users] What would you like to see in the XWiki 7.x cycle?

Dear XWiki users, We’re getting close to the end of the XWiki 6.x cycle (6.4 is planned for the end of December) and in January we’ll start developing the XWiki 7.x cycle (which will last the whole 2015 year), starting with XWiki 7.0. Thus it’s time for the XWiki devs to start defining the global roadmap for XWiki 7.x. As XWiki users, I’d like to know if you have some needs for XWiki 7.x. What would you be interested in seeing in XWiki 7.x? Hello Marius - thank you for the detailed reply. My goal is (2) - to find all documents with a .7z attachment, where those attachments include file(s) containing "foo". If I read your email correctly, Tika 1.6 (5) is root cause for my failure to search successfully for text within the files contained in a .7z attachment. I am successful with my search when using a .zip file as the attachment - so we will instruct wiki users to avoid .7z attachments. [xwiki-users] whiteboard

Does anyone have experience deploying a whiteboard within a wiki page similar to https://awwapp.com/ , http://webwhiteboard.com/#/ , http://cosketch.com/ or similar? I have a need to deploy one - and using a third party service and embedding it in the page is fine, but am having trouble displaying it. This one with the code pasted below seems to work, but the app/ third party service isn't what we really want - it's a mind map service. Others seem to embed, but then don't display anything. This one seems to be one that could be hosted on our own server (??) which would actually be ideal longterm. https://code.google.com/p/online-whiteboard/ Ideally, I'd like to be able to use one that doesn't require further fees - as it sort of defeats the purpose of our own wiki structure. Anyway, any ideas or your experience here would be appreciated! [xwiki-users] Using a JDNI DataSource for connection pooling

I've been exploring connection pooling for an external database, but I'm struggling to use it. I'm running XWiki 6.3 on a Ubuntu server. In /etc/xwiki/context.xml I have <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <Context>  <Resource name="jdbc/mydbds" auth="Container" type="javax.sql.DataSource" username="dbuser" password="dbpass" driverClassName="org.postgresql.Driver" url="jdbc:postgresql:alertdb" maxActive="10" maxIdle="4" /> </Context> And I have a symlink to this at /usr/lib/xwiki/WEB-INF/context.xml I'm trying to test that I can access this with a Groovy script. I'm not entirely sure of the correct approach here, but the most successful I've got it with {{groovy}} import groovy.sql.Sql import javax.naming.Context import javax.naming.InitialContext import javax.sql.DataSource Context ctx = new InitialContext(); DataSource dataSource = (DataSource) ctx.lookup("jdbc/mydbds"); def sql = new Sql(dataSource) {{/groovy}} However this fails with javax.naming.NameNotFoundException: Name [jdbc/mydbds] is not bound in this Context. Unable to find [jdbc]. Would anyone be able to tell me whether this is the right sort of way to be going about using a JNDI resource, and what's wrong with my implementation?

For issue concerning the WikiLinks, I need override “visit(WikiLinkNode wikiLinkNode)” (into AbstractPluginsPegdownVisitor). In this method, I have to call the instance of XDOMGeneratorListener in order to create a XDOM link. And this is where I have a problem. I understand I have to call beginLinks and endLink but I don’t understand how to sent the link and the title? It’s a bit hard to understand XDOMGeneratorListener. I hope you can help me. [xwiki-users] Wrong parameter for password reset

Just want to apologize if this has been asked already, but I was not able to find this in the archive. I have a new instance of XWiki install and everything is working fine, but I am having issue with the "Reset my password" link at the login page. It send the email out fine, but when I click on the link, it takes me to the xwiki with the error message: "Wrong Parameters. Back to the password reset page". I searched the internet and I come up empty, is there a setting I forgot to setup? Please let me know. [xwiki-users] Automate initializinig after reboot (Windows Server)

Hi, after every reboot of our Windows Server when first connecting to XWiki in the browser a page is shown with "Initializing (xx%)" which runs for several seconds before finally the XWiki main page is shown. [xwiki-users] Calc Macro Not Working in 6.4.1

We have been using the Calc Macro Extension in xWiki 6.3 and it was working well. When we upgraded to 6.4.1, the macro stopped working and now displays: Failed to execute the [groovy] macro. Click on this message for details. Debugging the CalcGroovy script, it appears that when the script does a .getParent() on the MacroBlock that is coming in, it is returning null. Previously, it used to return the TableHeader block of the table containing the Macro. Is there something that needs to be changed in the CalcGroovy code to get it to work with 6.4.1, or is this something that will need to be fixed in 6.4.2? Thanks Charlie

[xwiki-users] Hide buttons in AppWithinMinutes solutions

Hello all, Is there a way to hide "Preview" and "Save and Continue" buttons in forms created using AppWithinMinutes? I tried hiding them via CSS extension, using Display:None; but a specific button is a bit more difficult to get a CSS handle on since they aren't generated with an ID tag.. I suppose I could hide it using JavaScript, but I'm trying to avoid that if I can.... Thanks in advance

[xwiki-users] Global user and local user with Xwiki 6.4 Sub wiki + LDAP account

Hello, Is it possible to force all user in Global user? I (a friend Admin) use LDAP account and 3 subwiki. If new LDAP user log in on a sub wiki (sub wiki URL), unfortunaly a local user is created.
