Hi,
We use the XWiki to publish about a rare decease, so we like to be high on search results of the search engines
Our Wiki is hosted at XWiki.com
What advise do you have to get our wiki higher on the search results? (Generic)
- Multi language; are the pages recognized if they are translated
- URL translation, we have multiple url's pointing at the same wiki-instance (each country of our members has own url
example: www.cdlsworld.org and www.cdls-nl.org -> it looks like only cdlsworld.org is on the search lists

Hello,
since we updated from XWiki 2.7 to 3.1 we have problems with the
activity macro. The activities are not displayed instead the output
looks as shown in the attached png.
We excluded some files from the xar (like XWikiPreferences), so may be
we excluded too much? The activity page was definitively updated.

Hi All,
I have been working through removal of conflicting class loading issues
(same class loaded in a JAR in the WEB-INF, as in /common/lib or otherwise)
however I am now getting the following issue and so far, I havent been able
to determine a path around it:
-----
2011-08-01 08:40:25,595 ERROR
[org.apache.catalina.core.ContainerBase.[jboss.web].[localhost].[/xwiki]]
(main) Exception sending context initialized event to listener instance of
class org.xwiki.container.servlet.XWikiServletContextListener
java.lang.RuntimeException: Failed to find the Observation Manager component
at
org.xwiki.container.servlet.XWikiServletContextListener.contextInitialized(XWikiServletContextListener.java:81)
at
org.apache.catalina.core.StandardContext.listenerStart(StandardContext.java:3910)
at
org.apache.catalina.core.StandardContext.start(StandardContext.java:4393)
............
-----
For the JARs I have had to move so far (in order):
1. xercesImpl-2.8.1.jar
2. logback-classic-0.9.29.jar
3. slf4j-api-1.6.1.jar
Thanks in advance!

Hi,
I am trying to configure our xwiki to show the annotations on every page.
I have configured the Administration - Applications - Annotations like this:
Annotations are activated
(X) Ja
Nein
Except for the following spaces
Blog
Anzeigeeinstellungen
Display annotations by default
(x) Ja
Nein
Display annotations highlight by default
(X) Ja
Nein
Nevertheless, I always have to check Annotations, Show annotations to display the Annotations.
Any idea how to fix that?
Thanks,
Christoph
Hi,
I would like to customize a bit the print version of xwiki pages
(..bin/view/<space>/<page name>?xpage=print). For instance, I want to
change the logo only for this print version, other than the logo for the
entire wiki. How can I do that?
I'm using the last XE version.
Regards,

Hi, XWiki community.
I’ve been wrestling with the WYSIWYG Editor configuration process for a couple of days, and Marius has been a huge help thus far.
But now I’m having an issue with adding plugins and defining styles in the configuration window. Marius explained the process before and I was able to load some plugins and associated features. I was also able to define some styles to be included in the toolbar. Everything was working well.
But now, for some reason, I can’t load any more plugins or styles. I’ll load them (for example, the “color” plugin) and click the Save button at the bottom of the screen. Normally, a green save message will appear, but that message is not appearing this time. The editor configuration page reloads and the color plugin is no longer in the list of loaded plugins. However, in the Activity Stream, it shows that I’ve edited the WYSIWYG Editor Configuration Panel and the version has increased by 1. So it seems that the system is indeed trying to make those changes, and some elements believe that a change has been made.
Can anyone help me out on this?
Thanks,
John
Hi, folks.
I’m experimenting with a standalone installation of XE3.1 and trying to increase the control that users would have over the appearance of the pages they add.
I’d love to do this primarily with the WYSIWYG editor, since that would be the most user-friendly avenue in my opinion. So I tried to add the “font” and “style” plugins and then make the associated changes in the tool bar, but nothing I do seems to have any effect on the WYSIWYG editor. When I leave the WYSIWYG Editor administration page and then return, my changes are still there… they just don’t appear in the editor itself.
I’ve reviewed the WYSIWYG Editor Configuration page in the documentation, but nothing there has helped me. I’ve even taken a look in the templates/macros.vm file, but could not locate any of the lines the WYSIWYG Editor Configuration page said I should see.
Can someone help me out?
Thanks.
Few days ago I tested 3.2-milestone-1 and, as I see, old problem with russian
symbols (or any other non-english) in attachment names - did not resolved
yet (attachement names doesn't support unicode symbols).
Can somebody from developers give an answer - do you have plans for
resolving this problem and aprox. in witch version of xwiki?
Thanks beforehand!
Eugen

Hello All,
I just recently installed and have been using the XWord plugin, very cool.
But i have noticed that if I open/edit an existing page and attempt to
change an existing macro or anything inside a script, it wont publish/save
it? Is this known, or am I doing something incorrect?
Thanks!
Alena
