Hello guys,
Is it possible to keep the comments for the page opened always. I mean I don't need to click on it to see the comments I want them always visible. I want this just to be in one specifc page not all the wiki.
Many thanks in advance
Cheers,
Hosam
Hi,
I have been trying to use the video macro [1] without much success.
I followed the instructions to upload and import the xar file into my
xwiki. The import was successful.
I then add the macro into the Velocity macros:
Administration:
Preferences->Advanced->Velocity Macro Pages I added:
Marcos.Video,
I was then hoping to embed a video into my xwiki. Unfortunately all I
see is the text of the macro rather than the video, For example:
#video('http://www.youtube.com/v/NEV2TnDUA-E&hl=en');
Any ideas on why this is not working ?
Thanks
James
Filtrbox delivered the information included below, recently.
I'm wondering if there is a particular issue the UKeiG group has forgot to
address in their setup?
Is this a problem in an older version of xwiki and they're needing an
upgrade?
Or is this a more fundamental problem that may affect other xwiki
installations?
What are the best ways of avoiding "spam on user profile pages"??
Isn't there an easy way to integrate jcaptcha to side-step auto-generated
spam?

Sunday, July 13, 2008 The UKeiG xWiki is about to close
The UKeiG xWiki at http://ukeig.xwiki.com/ will be closed down on Monday
28th July. The UKeiG xWiki was always an experiment and we chose xWiki
because of the software's flexibility, power and sophistication. It was an
interesting experiment and in the initial stages highlighted the importance
of controlling access rights at all levels! We succeeded in blocking spam on
the main pages but have still not mastered the art of stopping spammers
clogging up the user profiles pages :-(
UKeiG is now researching options for a Content Management System for its
main web site and our 'spec' includes wiki and blog capability. Our main
blog will remain for the time being at http://www.ukeig.org.uk/blog/ and
powered by Blogger, and our Wordpress Web 2.0 blog will stay at
http://ukeig.wordpress.com/. If you want to download copies of the wiki
pages now is the time to do it. We do, though, have a local backup of the
content so let Karen Blakeman (karen.blakeman(a)rba.co.uk) know if you
desperately need access to anything.

I noticed on the download section for XWiki.org that attempting to download the
WAR file leads me to downloading a zip. I didn't see a WAR file located in the
zip - is the link broken? I tried downloading the 1.4.1.war file, but instead
got the 1.4.1.zip file.
I wasn't sure if this is correct.
Hello,
First post!
I am an IT administrator and I have been given the task of setting up a
small internal WIKI, which I have successfully done. However it does not
seem overly user friendly and I want to check if I am just missing a
setting.
Here is what I am wanting to do.
I created a new page called "Vista Testing" on that page I want employees to
be able to create a new page with details on the issues they are having and
I would like for the new page to be linked to the "Vista Testing" page
automatically using the title line that the employee typed in. The way it
is now they create a new page and then have to go back to the "Vista
Testing" page edit it and link the page they created to it. This doesn't
sound difficult but to the technically inept it is like climbing a mountain.
I simply want to make it easier for them.

Would it hurt anything if I move those pages to the XWiki space so that I could delete the XAppSheets, XAppClasses, and XAppTemplates spaces?
Also, what is the difference between XEM and Wiki Manager?

These pages are used by ApplicationManager, WikiManager and XEM.
