[xwiki-users] Xwiki database scripts. Xwiki offline documentation

Hi, I am having trouble finding database scripts to generate the XWiki database. Where are these located? Iam also having trouble finding offline documentation (to download) so i can work on XWiki when i am not connected to the internet. Does anyone know the link to download offline documentation (User and Admin guides)? Your help would be much appreciated! Cheers Ian Berry

[xwiki-users] how to delete a translation ?

Hello Everybody, I've got a page which is originally written as "English" (although it's written in french). I have copy and and paste it into the "French" translation. How do I delete the "English" translation of the page ? Best regards. F.X.

[xwiki-users] xwiki experience

HI All, just would like to share my first week usage experience with xwiki. That's great tool and helped me at work but what I see I need to know it better and deeper. This is not easy to follow WYSIWYG editor since its usage leads to unexpected behaviour and incorrect result preview page sometimes even with disappearing the text and I need to follow macros, velocity code to get what I want. Summarizing, it's ok if only me will change the pages but will not be ok for others in the company since they don't want to spend time on velocity and introducing macros for xwiki which leads to that I can't say to them please go and edit that page by yourself. Anyway thanks to the dev team for creating the application. Best regards, Juri.

Hi It is probably more appropriate to ask this question in the Twiki lists, since the import is determined to some extent by the support available in the target wiki. However, any reason why your company is doing the switch? [xwiki-users] xeclipse xmlrpc 503 error

Hi. I'm trying to connect to a remote (local lan) instance of xwiki using xeclipse plugin. When I try to connect I get this message: "Failed to create input stream: Server returned HTTP response code: 503 for URL: http://coobj2/xwiki/xmlrpc/confluence" My guess is that eventually rpc interface is not enabled by default for remote access, but I failed locating a config panel in xwiki or a reference to it in files. Facts: - I can access the same wiki by browser as admin with same credentials. - Tomcat logs do not show lines refering to my failed attempt. - Xwiki version is 1.0.3342. - Xeclipse version is 1.0.0-milestone-1. At home i'm succesful in connecting to a localhost instance, with possibily slightly different xwiki and xeclipse version. Can you help? Thanks Wei-hsing, In my XWiki setup I've set it so all users have to login and so when its their first login to the XWiki they end up at http://167.138.122.17:8080/xwiki/bin/view/XWiki/XWikiLogin%3Bjsessionid%3D7s or9btuj7s6d with a message saying "The requested document could not be found." Any ideas? I have found though that I could edit the CSS login.vm albatros skin file to add an email link (for users to request an XWiki user account from the administrator i.e. me) onto the login page if that's of any use to any other users out there. Hi, One way to direct user to a certain page after login is to make that page require a login (guest view denied), a link to that page, say "Members, enter here," will cause the login page to show up, after login, they will be directed to that first member page. This method is not the best, but cost no effort. [xwiki-users] When adding a new page, can a standard template be used?

We would like some pages to have the same look and feel and for users to be able to add a page with a standard "look" to it. Can that be done? I couldn't find any documentation on it. S.H.
