[xwiki-users] "Previous text" in the translation file

Hi all! Sorry if this question has already been reviewed, but I've been searching the users mail  and found nothing. I've been working on the Galician translation of the Xwiki Core for a few weeks and today I have found that each and every English string has a "previous text" added to it. Can anybody help me find out what this means and wether it has any influence on the translations? Thank you very much for your help!
