Greetings, I am trying to install XWiki 8.4.3 in Tomcat 9.0.0.M15. The instructions at http://platform.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/AdminGuide/InstallationMySQL say : mysql -u root -e "grant all privileges on *.* to xwiki@localhost identified by 'xwiki'" This was failing for me with a message about password complexity until I said, in mysql, "uninstall plugin validate_password;" Apologies if this has already been raised here; I don't see a way to search the archives yet.
