Do I need all of that code for the Document footer?

I usually handle such issues as the duplicate by putting test words into the page
and looking at them in the html source to find out what code is creating the text
I don't like. As far as getting rid of the standard heading at the top you could
find which template creates it (maybe try search for templates containing certain
words?)

over at xwiki.com. Of course I'm happy to give advice as time allows.

Well I know where the template is, I made it myslef, I just can't find
where its getting the "tags [+] and Created by" at the bottom. I want
mine to look like the xwiki.org with both created by and modified by in
the same area rather then split apart.

If I recall, that's created somewhere in docextra.vm
What you can do is use firebug (or read the html source) to find
the html tag you are looking for then search for documents containing
that tag (or part of it such as the class="someclass" part)

I can see the source, but still, I have no idea where this code is
coming from. I made my own FAQ page, class, and template and I didn't
put that code anywhere in it. Its site wide, not just on my current
page.
I've tried to change, the class (not the name, the content) and still
nothing seems to change it. There has to be a defult page layout that
makes this appear out of thin air so to speak. I'll to some searching
within my xwiki and see if I can find some lost pages that may have that
code in it.

In the .war file there is a folder called templates. It's a file inside
that folder. To be sure of which one you will need to do a search for
files containing the html tags you are looking for.

I can see the source, but still, I have no idea where this code is
coming from. I made my own FAQ page, class, and template and I didn't
put that code anywhere in it. Its site wide, not just on my current
page.
I've tried to change, the class (not the name, the content) and still
nothing seems to change it. There has to be a defult page layout that
makes this appear out of thin air so to speak. I'll to some searching
within my xwiki and see if I can find some lost pages that may have that
code in it.

If I recall, that's created somewhere in docextra.vm What you can do is
use firebug (or read the html source) to find the html tag you are
looking for then search for documents containing that tag (or part of it
such as the class="someclass" part)

Well I know where the template is, I made it
myslef, I just can't find
where its getting the "tags [+] and Created
by" at the bottom. I want
mine to look like the xwiki.org with both created by and modified by

I usually handle such issues as the duplicate by putting test words
into the page and looking at them in the html source to find out what
code is creating the text I don't like. As far as getting rid of the
standard heading at the top you could find which template creates it
(maybe try search for templates containing certain
words?)

might try asking over at xwiki.com. Of course I'm happy to give advice as time allows.

The examples I'm reading about have a lot of code in them. I don't
see global.vm in my objects at all.
I still don't see where that code is coming from even in the defult
skin. I don't want to override each new page with a different skin, I
just want to modify my defult skin to display the way it should like
the xwiki.org pages I want it to show the last modified and date
created next to each other. Not on different parts of the page.
You need to edit the XWiki.XWikiSkins class to add the missing
properties:

Or you can upload a text file called docextra.vm to your
XWiki.DefaultSkin page and it will override the server's docextra.vm

The examples I'm reading about have a lot of code in them. I don't
see global.vm in my objects at all.
I still don't see where that code is coming from even in the defult
skin. I don't want to override each new page with a different skin,
I just want to modify my defult skin to display the way it should
like the xwiki.org pages I want it to show the last modified and
date created next to each other. Not on different parts of the page.
You need to edit the XWiki.XWikiSkins class to add the missing
properties:

Or you can upload a text file called docextra.vm to your

It wouldn't have anything to do with the .css style sheet would it? I
thought the .css just changed how it is displayed, not what is
displayed.
