Question:
Should we have some way (optional) to navigate from one wiki
to another in a multiwiki setup. This shouldn't be setup by default
but maybe a config option. Then we could have a "Farm" element entry
before the wiki entry in the top action bar for this case. This could
potentially replace the "Ecosystem" panel for
xwiki.org.
A proposal for this kind of interaction can be found at
http://incubator.myxwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/Improvements/ActionMenuNavigati…
In order to provide two functions simultaneous (navigation + actions) the
menu element is separated into icon + name, each with it's own function.
Looks good. I can see only 2 main issues:
- What happens with a lot of wikis or if one wants to hide some wikis?
Put a field with autosuggest instead of the list?
- Tricky mouse interaction -> we're talking about small areas, might be
hard to aim correctly with the mouse -> maybe you could add ">>"
between the
icon and the text to separate them a bit?
Guillaume
Thanks,
Caty
