Hello,
I'd like to get your opinion on what French translation we should use
for "Distribution Wizard". So far I've received the following
suggestions:
* Gestionnaire de distributions
* Assistant d'installation
* Assistant de distribution
Do you prefer one of the above suggestions? Do you have other ideas?
Please reply to the present thread with your opinion.
Actually I'm not very fond of the English wording: "Distribution Wizard".
For a user it's hard to understand IMO.
What about using "Install Wizard"
instead and it's used both for first time installs and upgrades? (btw when it's
upgrades, the button will be "upgrade" I believe, right?)
"Install" is not accurate because you can do Install, Upgrade,
Downgrade or (maybe later) switch flavour.
Switch? What would it do and how would you call it ? I think switching would mean calling
from the admin and in this case we could name it differently.
Here's we're talking about the wizard that appears when you start your wiki and
you've installed a new WAR.
"Install Wizard" seems good to me for this use case.
Or maybe we should just call it "Extension Wizard" since we don'treally have
the terminology of "Distribution" ATM. Maybe in the future when we have the
notion of "Flavors" we would call it "Flavor Wizard"...
Thanks

Thanks,
Marius
In which case, we would have in French, "Assistant d'installation".
The other French names are not very niceā¦
Thanks
