As I discuss this with Ludovic, I propose a XEM
(http://jira.xwiki.org/jira/browse/XEM) 1.0 roadmap :
- 1.0 M1 : 2007-09-17
- wiki management
- installer including default template wiki
- 1.0 M2 : 2007-10-01
- basic statistics (just some informations in text)
- user management based on new rights management system

- 1.0 M3 : 2007-10-08
- advanced statistics (with graphical schemes)
- 1.0 M4 : 2007-10-22
- dashboard
- multi-wiki search based on Lucent
- 1,0 RC1 : 2007-10-29
- 1,0 RC2 – Final : 2007-11-05

I guess you'll need some help with setting this up as part of the
build, right?

Sounds good to me. What's important is to get started with XEM
release and do them regularly (say every 2 or 3 weeks). It would be
nice to use time boxing as much as possible (i.e. try to keep release
dates and instead remove content if all the planned work isn't
finished). To do this you need a fully working build and only commit
things that work and by small packets.
I hope we can find some contributors to XEM soon to help you with all
this cool stuff! :)

Dashboard is user related informations like "what's new on your
pages", "what's new on your wikis", etc.
Yes I set XEM task depend on that XE task.
As you see XEM is very linked with XE and lots of this new feature are
mostly new XE features needed by XEM.

Yes for this release it will be directly XE but with some template
related informations (pages to include in place of copy).

on the http://xpertnet.chronopolys.net/x site which seems a closed site.
I think we have 2 options:
1) we make it public so that anyone can view it at least
2) we move some of its content (or all) to xwiki.org and/or add
screenshots to the JIRA issue
I think that all the designs that are done for XE, XEM, Watch, etc
must be done in the open with the community. If they're done behind
closed doors then the community can only participate after they're
finished which 1) doesn't allow the community to participate but more
importantly 2) the community will likely not participate since
they've not been involved from the beginning and will have to catch
up with all the designs/code/etc.
It really must be done in the open IMO, as we're doing for XE.

I'm agree with you that all this design has to be open. I just forgot
that xpertnet.chronopolys.net is not public :) I moved all on
