Hi Vincent, Charting is a plugin. The plugin contains of a {charting} radeox macro and a nice but still underdeveloped WYSIWYG wizard. The macro has really a lot of parameters (more than 100 I think) so it is not easy to use directly -- that's why there was the need for a wizard in the first place. Still the macro parameters should be documented to some extend too. I have a lot of examples I could use to illustrate the use of the more important ones. Indeed, the code for this is completely wrong, and it only shows how poor was owr knowledge of XWiki was two years ago. The right behavior would be to have parameters for ClassName (the name of the type of the XWiki objects to use), the property name (the property that should be used as a data source), and the optiona document name and object number selection (range or set). Then, the datasource would extract from the [selected] objects the property and construct a proper data set. Yep Sergiu, that sounds about right. My biggest need is a line graph, for which I need two values for each point (x, y), so there might be a couple parameters. But the general idea that you're outlining sounds exactly what I was thinking. And with the framework that Catalin already has, shouldn't be too hard to write. I'll work on creating a patch for this and submit it; I am also excited about the 1.0 release, and so wouldn't ask you to divert resources to something new. shawn.
