Hi,
I'd like to write a tutorial about using DWR (www.getahead.org) )with XWiki
plugins. This is about third party software, but I think it can be something
that people creating plugins for xwiki might want to use. This way I can
share my experience (Ive been working with that for two months). I dont have
any interest with the guy who developped it, I just think its a good tool to
use. I havent heard of an equivalent solution developped by XPN. Though just
let me know if it exists.
Do you think its a good idea?
Im gonna write it, just delete it if you dont like, or tell me what to change.

This is great and please do write it! :)
Two comments:
1) I think it would be better located, linked on this page: http://
www.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/DevGuide/Tutorials and thus as a
children of Tutorials
2) The page is empty right now. We have created a space for drafts
that are not ready yet for public consumption. It's on
http://www.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/Draft/. Please consider using it
till you have the doc in a state good enough. We really want to keep
xwiki.org in a finished look state as much as possible.

Yes I have planned to do this. Right now, my only comment would be to
remove the DWR section you've added as the goal of the page is to
create a simple standard hello world plugin. I would put the DWR part
in the tutorial about writing plugins with DWR.

I've now reviewed your changes to the plugin tutorial. What I
understand is that you've added the part about Examples, right?
I think the examples are too restrictive of what you can do with
XWiki. I think it would be better to list existing plugins and what
they do, and even better simply link to the Code.Plugins page that
lists all plugins so that readers know more what they can do with
plugins.
WRT the API we simply need to direct them to this page I think:
http://www.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/DevGuide/APIGuide
I'd remove the 2 examples that you've added and replace them with the
above.

Actually I've just realized you added the lifecycle too. There are
some errors in it:
* The plugins are all initialized at once the first time XWiki
receives a request.
* "The XWiki class constructor is called only once by the Plugin
Manager". It's not the XWiki class constructor but the plugin class
constructors.
* "getpluginApi". It's getPluginApi().

one more comment: would be nice if you could use an impersonal form
when writing and not use "I" or "my".
For example, instead of "I mention it here since you might need if"
you could use:
"We mention that here since..." or "It's mentioned here since..."
